Our Culture by the Coast Programme is designed for adults who want to combine learning English with an authentic British cultural experience in one of the UK’s most beautiful seaside towns.

In the mornings, you take part in English classes led by experienced teachers, helping you build confidence and improve your language skills in a relaxed and supportive environment.

In the afternoons, you join local friendship groups and take part in guided excursions, giving you the chance to practise your English naturally while exploring the stunning Yorkshire coastline and its rich history.

From chocolate making and coastal walks to visits to York, Whitby and Robin Hood’s Bay, every week is filled with memorable experiences. You will also stay with a welcoming host family, sharing meals and everyday life with a local British household, so your English improves from morning to evening.
